Everything you need to make the posts
The FlorVino
Post Builder
Hi Melissa. This page tells you exactly what to make, what to write, and when to post it. Read it once from top to bottom. After that you only need part four.
1
Words you will see here
PostOne photo or video with words under it, on Instagram or Facebook.
CaptionThe words under the photo. I write these for you. You copy and paste them.
ReelA short vertical video, under 30 seconds. It fills the whole phone screen.
CarouselA post with more than one picture. People swipe sideways. We use four pictures.
TemplateA design you build one time in Canva and reuse every week. You only change the photo and the words.
SaveWhen someone taps the bookmark to keep your post. This is a very good sign.
SendWhen someone sends your post to a friend in a private message. This is the best sign of all. It is how new people find us.
HookThe first thing someone sees or hears. You have about two seconds before they scroll away.
2
Set up Canva. One time only.
Do this before you make anything. It takes about thirty minutes and it saves you hours every month.
Step one. Add the colors.
In Canva, open Brand, then Brand Kit, then Colors. Add these eight. Type the code exactly, with the hash sign.
Ivory#F7F2EB
Sand#E8DED1
Warm Taupe#CDBBA8
Sage#A8B49E
Dusty Rose#D7B7B0
Clay#C47A5A
Cocoa#6B4E3D
Soft Gold#B08D57
What each one is for. Ivory is the background. Cocoa is for words. Clay is for one thing you want people to notice. Soft Gold is for small special details. Sand is a second background. The other three are gentle accents. Never use a color that is not on this list.
Step two. Add the fonts.
In the same Brand Kit, open Fonts. Add Playfair Display for headings and Montserrat for everything else. Only these two. Never a third.
Save the honeycomb and vine from the label as a Canva asset. Every FlorVino label carries a small hexagon and vine mark. Upload a cropped, transparent version of it into the Brand Kit under Uploads, and tuck a small version of it into a corner of T2, T3 and T7 whenever the layout allows. It is one shape nobody else in wine uses, so the more it repeats, the faster people recognize us without reading the name.
Step three. Learn the two sizes.
- 1080 by 1350 pixels for normal posts and carousels. This is a tall rectangle.
- 1080 by 1920 pixels for Reels and Stories. This is the full phone screen.
On the 1080 by 1920 size, keep all words away from the top 250 pixels and the bottom 250 pixels. Instagram puts buttons there and they cover your text.
3
Build these eight templates
Make each one once. Save it in Canva as a template. After that, every post is just opening one and swapping the photo and the words.
Four things should show up again and again across every template: the flower itself, the honeycomb and vine mark, the wine's name treated like a character with a story, and the Bonjean family story. Repetition is the whole point. The more identical they look every time, the faster people recognize FlorVino without reading the name.
T1
The Reveal
- Size
- 1080 x 1920
- What
- A video of a real person's face the first time they taste the wine. Filmed on a phone.
- Words
- Two or three words only, in Playfair Display, Ivory color, on a soft dark shape. They appear in the first second.
- Important
- Do not make it pretty. No filter. No music that covers their voice. It must look real. This one post type matters more than all the others.
T2
The Flower
- Size
- 1080 x 1350
- What
- A close photo of the flower filling the whole frame. A cream bar across the bottom third.
- Words
- Wine name big in Playfair Display. Flower name small under it in Montserrat capitals, in Clay.
- Important
- The flower is the star. Do not put the bottle in this one.
T3
The Wine Story
- Size
- 1080 x 1350, four slides
- Slide 1
- Sand background. Wine name very big.
- Slide 2
- The story. Montserrat, small, lots of empty space around it. Sixty words maximum.
- Slide 3
- The medal, alone, on Cocoa background with cream words. Nothing else on this slide.
- Slide 4
- Address, hours, and the line that asks people to send it to a friend.
T4
The Door
- Size
- 1080 x 1350
- What
- Split in two. Left side, a photo of the room or the entrance. Right side, a Cocoa panel.
- Words
- On the panel: the logo, then the address and hours in Playfair Display, then the tasting price in Soft Gold.
- Important
- Never remove the address or the hours to make it look nicer. They are the whole point.
T5
The Hands
- Size
- 1080 x 1350
- What
- One real photo of the work happening. Hands, petals, bottles, the winery. Fills the whole frame.
- Words
- One short line only, across the lower part, in cream capitals over a soft dark shade.
- Important
- If the photo looks perfectly arranged, it is the wrong photo. Real light, real mess.
T6
The One Line
- Size
- 1080 x 1350
- What
- Ivory background. No photo. One sentence, very large, in the middle, in Playfair Display. A thin Soft Gold line under it.
- Important
- Only use the sentences I give you. Do not write new ones for this template.
T7
The Proof
- Size
- 1080 x 1350
- What
- Cocoa background, cream words. Used for a medal or for something a real customer said.
- Words
- The medal or the quote big in Playfair Display. Under it, small in Soft Gold: the competition and year, or the person's name and date.
- Important
- The small line at the bottom is never removed. It is what makes people believe it.
T8
Downtown
- Size
- 1080 x 1350
- What
- Sand background with one square photo in the middle and space all around it.
- Words
- The event and the date in Playfair Display italic. Hours and address under it in Montserrat.
- Important
- Never say FlorVino is part of an event if it is not. We are just open nearby.

Your week
Three posts a week. Always the same three days. You never have to decide what day to post.
TuesdayThe big one. If you only do one post this week, do this one.
ThursdayThe supporting one. Usually a flower or the winery.
SaturdayWhere we are and when we are open. Always with address, hours and price.
If a week goes badly, only do Tuesday. Do not try to catch up later. Skip Thursday and Saturday and start fresh the next week. A missed post is not a problem. A pile of late posts is.

Seven rules
-
Never say we are the only flower winery in the world.
It is not true and anyone can find that out in one search. Say: crafted from wildflowers, never grapes. Or: Texas' only flower winery.
-
Never say the wine is healthy or gives no headaches.
Customers can say that in their reviews. We cannot say it. It is a legal problem.
-
Copy quotes exactly.
Never change a customer's words. Always put their name and the date.
-
Never use AI pictures.
Not of the flowers, the wine, the room or the people. Young customers spot it and stop trusting the brand.
-
Do not use a big list of hashtags.
In 2026 posts with hashtags got about 32 percent fewer views. Tag the location instead. That is it.
-
Never repost someone else's picture as our post.
Since April 2026 Instagram shows less of accounts that mostly repost. Always our own photos.
-
Every Saturday post has the address, the hours and the price.
Even if it makes the design busier. People need to know where to go.
6
The one question before every post
Who would somebody send this to?
If you cannot name a person, the post is not ready.
Instagram decides who sees our posts. The head of Instagram said in 2025 that the three things that matter most are how long people watch, likes, and sends. And for showing our posts to people who do not follow us yet, sends matter most of all.
So a beautiful bottle photo is not enough. A post that makes someone think of their friend who is visiting San Antonio next month, that is the one that works.
7
September. Fifteen posts, ready to make.
Each card tells you the template, the words that go on the picture, and the caption to copy. The green tag means it is the most important post of that week.
Sept 1T1 ReelMost important
What to make
Three people tasting the wine for the first time, cut together. Twenty seconds.
Words on the video
Never a grape.
Caption to copy
Nobody expects this. Wine made from flowers, not grapes. Come find out what your face does.
105 N Alamo St, Ste 2. Inside Hotel Gibbs, right on Alamo Plaza.
Sept 3T5
What to make
A close photo of petals or nectar being handled. Hands in the picture.
Words on the picture
This is what goes in the bottle
Caption to copy
No grapes. Flower nectar for the sugar, petals for the flavour. It is an old craft that almost disappeared, and the Bonjean family brought it back.
Sept 5T4
What to make
Photo of the room or the entrance. Panel with address, hours and price.
Words on the picture
Open today, noon to 11
Caption to copy
Labor Day weekend downtown. We are open, we are two minutes from the Alamo, and we pour six wines nobody in your group has tried before.
105 N Alamo St, Ste 2. Open noon to 11.
Sept 8T1 ReelMost important
What to make
How the wine is made, start to finish. Thirty to forty seconds. Text on the screen, no talking needed.
Words on the video
Wine. With no grapes at all.
Caption to copy
Every wine you have ever had came from grapes. This one does not. Flowers give the sugar. Petals give the flavour. That is the whole secret.
Send this to the person who thinks they know wine.
Sept 10T7
What to make
The medals. Cocoa background, cream words. Check each medal against the certificate in the Awards folder before you put it on the picture.
Words on the picture
Four years. Every wine. Every year.
Caption to copy
Flower wine sounds like a novelty until you look at the medals. Every one of our six wines has won something every year since 2023. Two Platinums. Gold at the San Francisco International Wine Competition.
It is not a gimmick. It is wine that wins.
Sept 12T4
What to make
Same as Sept 5, different photo. Keep the panel in exactly the same place every time.
Words on the picture
The stop on your girls trip
Caption to copy
Here for a girls trip or somebody's bachelorette weekend? Six flower wines, a charcuterie board, and a room that is cooler than the plaza.
105 N Alamo St, Ste 2, inside Hotel Gibbs.
Sept 15T1 ReelMost important
What to make
One guest, one long shot, no cuts. From doubtful to buying a bottle. Ask permission on camera and keep that part in.
Words on the video
She said she hates sweet wine
Caption to copy
She came in for the air conditioning. She left with two bottles. This happens most days and it still surprises us.
Sept 17T8
What to make
Downtown card for Diez y Seis week. Photo of the block or the room in the evening.
Words on the picture
Open late all week
Caption to copy
Diez y Seis week downtown. When you are done with the plaza, we are open until 10 and the wine is like nothing you have had.

What to make
The door post, but this one explains how to walk here past the Houston Street construction.
Words on the picture
Yes, we are still easy to find
Caption to copy
There is construction on Houston Street, so here is the easy way. Stand facing the Alamo, walk to the corner of N Alamo and E Houston, and look for Hotel Gibbs. We are on the ground floor.
Sept 22T7Most important
What to make
A real customer review. Copy it exactly. Put the name and date at the bottom in Soft Gold.
Words on the picture
"Once you've tried Flower Wine, it's hard to go back to drinking regular wine again."
Small line at the bottom
Ryan F · TripAdvisor · 2025

Sept 24T5
What to make
A photo from the bottling in Comfort, Texas. Real work, real light.
Words on the picture
Bottled in Comfort, Texas
Caption to copy
Made in the Hill Country, poured on Alamo Plaza. A nearly forgotten craft, revived by the Bonjean family.
Sept 26T8
What to make
Downtown card. Jazz'SAlive is at Hemisfair Sept 25 and 26, and the Rey Feo river parade is on the 26th. Busiest weekend of the month.
Words on the picture
Before the parade. After the parade.
Caption to copy

All six wines poured in a row, filmed from where the guest sits. Slow, close, no talking.
Words on the video
Six flowers. Six wines.
Caption to copy
Jasmine. Gloria. Dande. Wild Rosy. Peaches. Yeehaa. Six flowers, six wines, one tasting.
Send this to whoever is planning the trip.
Oct 1T6
What to make
One sentence on Ivory. No photo. October is Texas Wine Month.
Words on the picture
Texas' only flower winery
Caption to copy
October is Texas Wine Month. Spend some of it on something you cannot get anywhere else in the state.
Oct 3T4
What to make
The door post. The Day of the Dead trail on the River Walk starts Oct 3 and runs to Nov 2.
Words on the picture
Open all weekend
Caption to copy
The Day of the Dead trail is up along the river all month. We are a short walk from it, open noon to 11.

October. One wine each week.
This part is easy because every week is the same shape. You only change which wine it is.
Every week, the same three
- Tuesday. T3, the four slide wine story. Slide 3 is the medal.
- Thursday. T2, a close photo of that week's flower.
- Saturday. T4 the door, or T1 a reel if there is a group in.
Here is the order, and what goes on the medal slide. Gwen will send you the story text for slide 2 before each week.

Oct 6 · JasmineTexas Class Champion · Fort Worth Stock Show · 2024
A smooth, full bodied dry white made with jasmine flowers, aged in oak.
Oct 13 · Wild RosyPlatinum · Fort Worth Stock Show · 2025 and 2026
Romantic and refined, made with wild rose. This is our strongest medal, so give this week the most effort.
Oct 20 · GloriaGold · San Francisco International · 2024
A complex dry red made with hibiscus, aged in oak. It's Gloria, not Glory. Already settled, no need to ask.
Oct 27 · YeehaaClass Champion · Fort Worth Stock Show · 2024
The Texas party pour, made from Texas wildflowers.

Nov 3 · DandePlatinum and Class Champion · Austin Rodeo · 2026
Made from dandelion. Lead with the surprise: a wine made from the weed people pull out of their lawns won Platinum.

Nov 10 · PeachesGold · San Francisco International · 2023 and 2025
A refined semi sweet made from peach blossoms. The most decorated of the six.
Nov 14 · All six togetherThe big one
One carousel, one slide per wine, with the medal named on every slide. Ask people to save it. This is the most useful thing we make all quarter.

November and December
Same three days. The subject changes to gifts and to the busy nights downtown. Five dates matter more than the rest.
Nov 24 to 27The holiday river parade is Friday November 27 and the lights stay on until January. This is the busiest night of the whole quarter. Post that we are open and where the door is.
Dec 1Gifting starts. The idea is simple: a bottle nobody who receives it has ever had before. Film it at night with the lights on the river.
Dec 8The medals again, this time as the reason it is a real gift and not a novelty.
Dec 15Last dates for pickup and shipping. Plain numbers on the card. Ask Gwen for the real dates first.
Dec 29Alamo Bowl night. About forty five thousand out of town visitors are in the city. Just hours and the address, nothing clever.
December 26, rest. Post nothing, or only a story. A brand that goes quiet the day after Christmas looks like it is run by people.

Photos and video to collect
You cannot make September without these. Get them in one or two sessions at the tasting room.
- Six videos of guests tasting for the first time. Always ask permission and film the asking.
- One close photo of each flower. Jasmine, hibiscus, dandelion, wild rose, peach blossom, Texas wildflowers.
- Photos of the room: the bar, the window with the plaza behind it, a full table at night.
- A photo of the entrance from the sidewalk, so people know what to look for.
- Hands working: petals, nectar, pouring, wrapping a bottle.
- One video of how the wine is made, start to finish.
11
Check before you post
- The flower itself is the visual center of the post, not the bottle.
- The honeycomb and vine mark appears somewhere, even small.
- The wine's name is used like a character with a story, not just a label.
- Every color is from the list of eight.
- Only Playfair Display and Montserrat.
- I can name one person somebody would send this to.
- No hashtag list. Location tagged instead.
- If there is a medal, I checked the certificate first.
- If it is a Saturday post, the address, hours and price are all on it.
- Nothing says world's only, and nothing says healthy.

If you are stuck
Message Gwen. Really. It is faster than guessing, and nothing here is a test.
Ask her when: you are not sure a fact is true, you do not have the photo you need, a medal does not match a certificate, or a caption just does not sound right. Trust your own ear on that one.
One good post is better than three rushed ones.
